I’m finally able to share more details regarding the hardware of Node version 1 named “Cosmic Core”. Yes, I did ask ChatGPT for cool project names. 😀
- Intel® Quad-Core Processor Jasper Lake N6005 with a base clock of 2GHz and a boost of 3.3GHz.
- Up to 64GB Dual-channel SO DIMM DDR4 (2933MT/s)
- M.2 NVMe slot (PCIe 3.0 x 4)
- 2 x 10/100/1000/2500 Mbit/sec Ethernet
- 2 x SATA 3.0
The first node I set up with the specs above runs flawlessly in combination with Geth and Lighthouse!
With 32 GB of ram, the node consumes about 17 watts during the sync phase. As soon as it has finished syncing, the consumption drops to approx. 14 watts. These numbers may vary depending on how efficient the power supply is.
There is no WiFi or Bluetooth on the board due to power consumption. You shoudn’t run your node via WiFi anyway. 😛
